Located east of Atlanta Snellville was founded by friends James Sawyer and Thomas Snell. Snellville remained relatively small until the increase of suburban development in the 1960's. Today the area is home to two parks and a disc golf course. The parks include a water park, dog park, and eight soccer fields. The area is also home to the New London Theater and the Gwinnett Ballet Theatre. Every year the city holds the Snellville Day Festival over two days.

Snellville Street Paving Project Announced

The successful bidder for the street paving projects was ER Snell Contracting Inc., which will begin with preliminary sampling and coring on Tanglewood Drive beginning in February, weather permitting. The process will be at a slower pace due to the temperature and weather, so Public Works officials ask residents to be patient as they work to improve the street.

Grayson 'Boots' Snellville in Hunger Challenge

The Grayson community responded to Mayor Allison Wilkerson's call to stock the shelves of the Southeast Gwinnett Cooperative Ministry.
